Thankful and Thank You!

At some point today a major transition will take place in my brain and heart. I’ll intentionally make the hard pivot from intense focus on wrapping up business matters to wrapping a few last gifts and then turn my attention fully toward celebrating Christmas, my family and this incredible year.

Like many of you, I am tired. I’ve given this year all I had to give, and I am ready for some much needed time off and rest. I look forward to making that transition this afternoon, and spending the next week reflecting on 2013 and drafting major goals for the year ahead.

As I begin to look back on 2013, I am truly overwhelmed with one feeling – thankfulness. And that’s why I am taking a few minutes out of this crazy day to write this post. Without even pausing to sketch a list or filter my thoughts, I am thankful for: an incredible wife, amazing children, supportive family, clients big and small, new relationships, wise mentors, faithful friends, America, really smart coaches and gurus who help me, twitter, blog readers, a bestselling book, safe air travel and one great airline, sports talk radio, a helpful executive assistant, a talented creative assistant, my dream car, wise business advisors, generous colleagues who continually bring value to me and the sales community, a fantasy football championship (finally!), mind-blowing technology that we take for granted, and above all, I am most thankful for the One who came to rescue us, the One we celebrate tonight, the One who “paid my debt and raised this life up from the dead.”

Thank you for your readership and for helping to make 2013 such a fantastic year. Here’s to an even better 2014.

Mike
